The Story So Far…
What follows is the the Wiki page as it appears after Bea's Player re-posed.
The Heroes open the huge double doors into a large room, and are almost knocked down by an odor of rot that permeates this place. With the torchlight most can only see halfway into the room which is filled with mouldering sacks of grain and sides of rotted beef.
Stepping from behind Archie, Beatrice begins scrutinizing and searching the door frame, the floor, and all around the entryway before allowing any of her friends into the room. Cal also steps forward to stand behind the other two and strains his ears trying to hear into the stillness of the room.
"Hold friends. I hear something breathing in there," Cal whispers.
"Eye laddie!" Archie turns to Cal and grins, "But it's a worthless Gnoll, an' he don't look like he's doin' ta good. Took one hell of a bea —"
Suddenly, upon hearing the sound of Archie's voice, something nearby throws itself into what sounds like another door in this room. Then again, a sickening, wet sounding thud resounds through the thick rotten air of the room. In response to the thuds the gnoll, apparently, regains consciousness and begins to alternate between screaming in abject terror, laughing maniacally, and coughing wetly. The cacophony is quite unsettling.
"By my beard, what a racket!" Archie shifts his weight as he begins to step into the threshold.
"Wait!" Bea screams, over the din, "Trap!"
Archie gulps, "Thanks lass, gettin' ahead of myself."
Bea carefully steps over a thin silk cord that now seems all too apparent, and says, "Archie, Cal stand aside." She then lies flat on the filthy dungeon floor as her companions take up positions on either side of the door. With dagger extended she quickly cuts through the cord, and with a click and whoosh a huge spiked ram swings from the ceiling and swings through the open door. The heroes can't help but imagine what would have happened if Archie had just charged in.
Bea's Player then posts on the discussion board:
Re-Pose

Re-pose is done and up on the wiki page. I didn't take too many liberties, but if you'd like to re-pose your players (or at least give them a line, sorry Cal) then feel free. Otherwise i'd say let's deal with shutting this damn gnoll up.
Player Poses Part 2 (Cont.)
++Calvert
Cal's Player wants to discuss the plan of action so he poses:
Cal Steps out from behind the door jam and examines the huge spiked ram. "That's an ugly bit of hardware. Do you supposed our hysterical friend is responsible for this," Cal steps around the trap and into the room, "or mr. subtle pounding itself against the door?" With that he holds the torch high and steps forward intothe room just enough to bring the gnoll and the doorway into sight, as if to illustrate his question.
The GM then adds a description of what the whole party can now see:
As if on cue, once the torchlight reaches the back of the room the thing on the other side of the door pounds its body against it with anothe bone crunching thud. The door itself is made of thick hardwood, and it isbarred by a thickflat iron bar that is held by brackets bolted to either side of the door in the wall. It, therefore, remains unmoved or affected.
The Gnoll, on the other hand, is deeply affected by the creature on the other side of the door. As soon as it pounds itself against the door it wriths on the ground laughing and sobbing. With each movement it's many wounds open and blood flows forth freely into a pool around it that seems almost too big compared to the size of the creature. It seems unaware of the Party's presence. It is only aware of the thing on the other side of the door.
Archie
Archie's Player thinks that even Archie can't help but feel sorry for this creature. he poses:
Archie follows Cal through the door and walks through the room to the pathetic Gnoll. Raises his hammer above his head, and brings it down on the Gnolls Skull, muttering a prayer that his companions recognize as the Dwarven Mercy Song.
He then posts:
Coup de Grace

Can I get a coup de grace on this thing, or do i have to roll attack? I just want it out of it's, and our, misery.
The GM Replies:

No need to roll, it is unaware of you. even at your minimum damage the gnoll would be dead instantly. Feel free to pose the result.
