So basically, I'm still fresh with this stuff even though I've read the entire "how it works" section.
I don't wanna step on anyones toes as far as over-posing goes, but I'm going to work under the assumption that anything unwanted or unworkable will simply be edited out through the process. That is all.

We don't really have a defined etiquette on here yet, so don't sweat it. If you have a problem with the way someone (including myself) edits your poses, just PM them, or me, and i'm sure something can be worked out. nothing is written in stone on the wiki page and we can always revert to an earlier version of the page with a simple click of the mouse.
that being said, you shouldn't really edit content that you didn't write unless you are fixing grammar, spelling, ect. If you want to make larger changes you should make a thread in forum detailing the changes you want to make, and wait for permission or untill there is a consensus.
ooops, i just re-read trav's post after writing my last little rant. over-posing etiquette is not to pose more than three times before the majority of characters have had a chance to pose at least once. exceptions being conversation, combat, etc. Like you said though, if your posing too much we can always just edit it out, or even put up a dividing line to contain your poses until the story catches up/so that the story can move ahead.
I've just been slightly editing the wording of my poses if I think of a better way to communicate my thoughts. I'm anal like that. And a little over-eager right now. I haven't played in a while…. And I'm an internet junkie. It's a dangerous combination.
