Group Background

Whatever thier different origins and upbringings our heroes ended up here. In the Shire of Furrough. They begin their adventuring career as Sheriff's Men, the wandering constables in Sheriff Graey's police force. They come to this job with different goals, be they a desire to promote law and order, the protection of this beautiful corner of the world from those that would do it harm, or even the promise of wealth and fame.

Yuri

Around 20 years old and very lazy, Yuri has been a farmhand on the family land, ever since he was a young boy. One day however, his pa got tired of Yuri's constant daydreaming and soul-searching and kicked him off the farm. "You lazy bum!", the memory of his father still echoes inside the horror-show that is Yuri's consciousness. Yuri is convinced that he is possessed by the evils that his very religious family has warned him about for years and years. Whenever Yuri gets confused or mixed-up, which is often seeing that he lacks anything approaching self-confidence or a sense of purpose, he manifests his innate abilities. So far, this has only occurred in private, before only his eyes; and whenever the powers are manifest, he thoroughly lambastes himself with guilt and self-angst. Something about the lack of order and chaotic patterns of thought puts all of the mental pieces into place for Yuri, thus making it possible for him to have subconsciously formed the aberrant sort of psychic discipline required to draw the energy from his mental well. Yuri is also very insecure and compensates for this issue through fatalistically heavy sarcasm. No more at home on the road with the Sheriff's boys than he was on the farm, Yuri's fractured mind can only find solace is its devout, though unique, pursuit of complete control, complete order, though the exercise of his own will.

Eryna Lok

Eryna Lok stands tall as any man. Toned muscle is etched beneath her alabaster skin. Her emerald green eyes are stoic behind long amber braids of hair. Other than her dazzling eyes and pure untouched flesh, Eryna's training as a monk has left her with few stereotypical feminine qualities. She speaks in low tones, shows little emotion (especially for the opposite sex), and lives a simple life with no extravagances.
Eryna trained in a monastery, far from the Shire of Furrough, all of her adult life. Because of her complete immersion in monastic martial arts, she does not try or care to remember her life before the monastery. Her rigorous physical training, specifically in the art of disarming and grappling, permeates her existence. Her aura glows with mental and physical strength.
Eryna has sacrificed all knowledge of the outside world and all common sense to this end, believing her path to be the natural way of things. She does not question her actions as they are law, falling in line with the will of The Lord.
Eryna has come to the Shire to live humbly and simply as a farmer in line with of her path to atonement. She has been offered by the Temple to serve as one of the Sheriff's Men to maintain order and to keep her skills sharp, while she works the land for the next four seasons.

Grakul

Grakul was abandoned by his birth mother at a monastery far from the shire for fear that he may be a demon (he is an albino). He has lived most of his life within those walls. He was a protector of the temple for 4 years (during which time he took a vow of silence) before he was sent out for his education. He knew little of the outside world and the outside world knew less about him. He has been wandering the land for 5 years observing as much as he can. He offers his services when and where they are needed (currently to the sheriff’s men) before continuing his journey.

He is a quiet man of swift action and few words. He is a meticulous fighter, and a conscientious guard. He wears clean pale linens that flow about skin of the same color with the breeze. A brute of a man, he towers well above 6 feet; all taught pale skin over solid hewn muscle. He has very short white hair, a clean face and many scars on his face and scalp. His eyes, the color of ice, often seem to be in a far away place. In appearance, he is a startling thing to behold. In battle he has the patience, the cunning and the ferocity of a hunting lion. In form he moves with the fluidity of water and the grace of a gazelle.

Loraethal

Loraethal's main influence was his aunt who he adopted as a mother figure after the death of his human mother. A lower level noble woman who taught him a bit about political intrigue and how to get what he wanted from people. His mindset, however, is more about accumulating arcane power and staying out of the affairs of the world. He'd much rather sit with a book and absorb knowledge(though he's never so absorbed in what he's doing that he loses touch completely with his surroundings.

As a youth, before attending the Tandros Eiladaestia (Elven academy of magic) he enjoyed attending concerts of the great elven musicians and lectures from Elven philosophers. Leading a cosmopolitan life in the heart of elven culture.

Preferring the simple robes of the magi, he is never clad in anything but. Maroon with silver gilding(not too much) and an elegant silver belt. He carries only what he absolutely needs, a quarter staff(mostly for leaning), his spell components, and a few other necessaries.
